"Revitalizing the Local Economy and Stabilizing Small Business Management"
Iksan City in North Jeolla Province is recruiting three 'Good Price Stores' until August 4 to help revitalize the local economy and stabilize small business management.
According to the city on July 21, the Good Price Store program selects and supports outstanding small businesses that offer goods at reasonable prices below the local average and maintain strict standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
Currently, 33 stores in Iksan have been designated as Good Price Stores. Selected businesses receive up to 1.1 million KRW in support for purchasing goods, as well as benefits such as the installation of certified signs and plaques, and a 30% discount on water bills.
Additionally, stores registered as policy support affiliates provide customers with extra benefits, offering up to a 10% (with a monthly limit of 20,000 KRW) cashback when paying with the local currency 'Dairoeum.'
Eligible applicants are small business owners who have been operating in Iksan for at least six months. However, businesses are excluded if they have received administrative sanctions within the past two years, suspended operations for more than one month within the past year, are delinquent in local taxes, are franchise stores, or have failed to comply with mandatory display regulations (such as outdoor pricing or origin labeling).
Those wishing to register as a Good Price Store can submit the application documents in person or by email to the Small Business Division. For more details, visit the Iksan City website or contact the Small Business Division directly.
A city official stated, "Through the expansion of the Good Price Store program, we aim to provide citizens with trustworthy stores and offer tangible benefits to small business owners," adding, "We encourage the active participation of interested small business owners."
