Achieving Results Over 20 Percentage Points Higher Than the National Average...
"Proving Its Role as a Hub for Nurturing Employment Service Professionals"
The Department of Employment Service Policy at Korea University of Technology and Education has once again proven itself as a leading institution for nurturing professionals in employment services by achieving a high pass rate of 86.3% in the National Qualification Examination for Level 1 Vocational Counselors.
According to the university on July 21, 19 out of 22 first-year students from the Department of Employment Service Policy passed the exam, surpassing the national average pass rate of 64.6% (as of 2024) by more than 20 percentage points.
Established in 2022, the Department of Employment Service Policy is the first in Korea to offer a practical curriculum focused on employment policy, labor market analysis, career and vocational counseling, and the utilization of occupational information.
In particular, the department emphasizes strengthening practical employment competencies through special lectures for national certification preparation, industry-linked programs, and practice-based education.
This high pass rate is the result of systematic practical training combined with the students' passionate learning attitudes, raising expectations for the future production of talented professionals who will play active roles in both public and private employment service sectors.
Choi Kisung, head of the Department of Employment Service Policy, stated, "Our department will continue to enhance expertise and public service in the employment service field, nurturing key professionals who will lead high-quality vocational counseling, employment support, income support, and vocational training."
