Sampyo Group announced on the 21st that it held the 2025 First Half Safety Activity Excellence Workplace Awards Ceremony on the 6th floor of the Ima Building in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, where its headquarters is located, on the 14th.
The TBM (Tool Box Meeting) is an activity in which all workers gather before starting work to review the work details and share and check procedures and methods. This process is essential for resolving potential hazards in advance and establishing a strong safety culture at worksites.
Sampyo Group organized this awards ceremony to prevent industrial accidents in advance by identifying key potential hazards through the establishment of a proper TBM culture at worksites and by implementing thorough safety measures in response to these hazards.
During the ceremony, awards were presented by category, beginning with the First Half TBM Competition, followed by recognition of outstanding workplaces in the Audit (Safety and Health Inspection) category. In the First Half TBM Competition, the following sites received honors: Aggregates (Grand Prize - Yangju Site), Ready-mixed Concrete (Grand Prize - Yeoncheon Site, Excellence Award - Yangju Plant, Encouragement Award - Gwangju Plant), and Mortar (Grand Prize - Incheon Mortar, Progress Award - Sejong Mortar). Outstanding workplaces in the Audit (Safety and Health Inspection) category included: Aggregates (Yeoncheon Site), Ready-mixed Concrete (Gwangju Plant, Seobusan Plant, Dongseoul Plant), and Mortar (Incheon Mortar).
Sampyo Group reaffirmed its commitment to preventing serious accidents by promoting the safety slogan, "There is no next time for safety, and accidents come without warning." The company also strengthened its practical safety management system by sharing root cause analyses, major accident cases, and recurrence prevention measures at each workplace.
