For this social contribution initiative, Yuyu Teijin Medicare is donating approximately 200 million KRW, while the Korea Medical Support Foundation will be responsible for selecting eligible patients and managing the rental fee support. Since 2021, Yuyu Teijin Medicare has continuously carried out social contribution activities with the Korea Medical Support Foundation, supporting the rental fees for oxygen concentrators and ventilators. Over the past four years, a total of about 24,000 cases of support have been provided to approximately 5,000 patients.
Portable oxygen concentrators are essential medical devices for respiratory patients not only when going out, but also as a precaution in emergencies such as power outages or natural disasters when the use of home oxygen concentrators becomes difficult.
Yoo Wonsang, CEO of Yuyu Teijin Medicare, said, "Many respiratory patients facing financial difficulties are unable to rent oxygen concentrators and home ventilators due to the burden of rental fees, which is why we have continued our social contribution activities. We hope that by reducing the treatment costs for respiratory patients, whose quality of life is severely diminished, and by making oxygen therapy more accessible, their lives will be improved."
