AI Automatically Organizes Your Receipts with Just a Photo
Payhere, an integrated store management platform led by CEO Park Junki, announced on July 21 that it has launched the 'AI Expense Ledger' service to assist small business owners struggling with complex expense management, such as food ingredients and raw materials.
This service allows users to take photos of various transaction records?such as receipts, statements, and tax invoices?using their mobile phones. Artificial intelligence (AI) then automatically recognizes and categorizes the expenses by category and by vendor. Small business owners can easily check their purchasing status and spending patterns by date and day of the week, enabling them to streamline operations and reduce unnecessary costs.
For example, when a user photographs a receipt for food ingredient purchases, the AI organizes the items into categories such as produce, meat, dairy products, and processed foods. This enables business owners to analyze cost levels by menu item and utilize the information to set target cost ratios or determine appropriate selling prices.
Additionally, users can register all types of expenses at once?including headquarters orders, large supermarkets, traditional markets, labor costs, rent, and utilities?allowing them to systematically manage the overall flow of expenditures. The service also enables secure digital storage of physical receipts and can be used as documentation for submission to tax accountants.
The AI Expense Ledger is available free of charge simply by downloading the 'Payhere' app. Users can freely set and customize categories according to their industry, whether it be food service, retail, or service sectors.
Park Junki, CEO of Payhere, stated, "We have focused on supporting small business owners in managing their store operating costs more systematically, especially in the current environment of continuously rising prices." He added, "Going forward, we will continue to help small business owners manage every step of their business, from startup to store operations, more easily and conveniently through the Payhere app."
