Shinhan Bank announced on July 20 that it is implementing a financial support program worth 20 billion KRW for small business owners who are affiliated with the public delivery app 'Seoul Delivery+ Ttaenggyeoyo', in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation.
Shinhan Bank has made a special contribution of 1.6 billion KRW to the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation, which will be used by the foundation to provide new guarantees totaling 20 billion KRW to Seoul Ttaenggyeoyo franchise owners. The Seoul Metropolitan Government will also reduce the interest burden for small business owners by providing interest support of 2.0 percentage points per year on loan interest rates.
The support is available to businesses operating restaurants in Seoul that have received the 'Seoul Delivery+ Win-Win Certification', with loans of up to 100 million KRW available per business.
'Ttaenggyeoyo' was launched in January 2022 by Jin Okdong, then president of Shinhan Bank and current chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, with the aim of creating a non-financial platform that benefits customers, small business owners, and riders alike. The platform offers non-financial benefits such as a low 2% commission fee, free advertising, and support funds for business owners. With this financial support program, it will now also provide tangible financial benefits by reducing financial burdens.
The 'Livelihood Support Consumption Coupon', which will be implemented starting July 21, can also be used on 'Ttaenggyeoyo'. Eligible coupons are those issued as local love gift certificates through local government local currency apps or community centers.
Shinhan Bank CEO Jung Sanghyuk said, "As the sole operator of the public delivery app 'Seoul Delivery+ Ttaenggyeoyo', we have launched this program to provide practical financial support to small business owners operating restaurants in Seoul," adding, "Going forward, we will expand Ttaenggyeoyo's non-financial data-based financial services nationwide and strengthen our efforts to achieve mutual growth with small business owners."
Meanwhile, since July 14, Shinhan Bank has been recruiting Ttaenggyeoyo franchise owners to participate in the 2025 'Ttaenggyeoyo Win-Win Store' program. Up to 2.1 million KRW in support funds will be provided to 100 selected small business owners for community sharing activities, and joint win-win activities to help local communities are planned.
