During the meeting, the county focused on proposing key projects to drive regional development, such as the designation and development of the RE100 industrial complex in Haenam, the connection of the Honam High-Speed Railway to the Gyeongjeon Line, and the inclusion of the Seoul-Jeju high-speed rail project in the 5th National Rail Network Construction Plan.
In addition, discussions were held on discovering sustainable future agricultural policies, including the expansion of large-scale agricultural and fisheries processing and distribution facilities that reflect the characteristics of Haenam as a rural and fishing area, as well as establishing a phased vision to strengthen the price adjustment function for production areas.
The participants agreed to actively identify new projects that could serve as long-term drivers for Haenam’s development and to join forces in securing national funding through an organic system of cooperation between the National Assembly and local governments. They also agreed to regularly monitor the progress of projects and establish a continuous communication system.
Representative Park stated, "With the launch of the new administration, we have a golden opportunity to bring about significant change in Haenam. The National Assembly and local governments will work together to consider policies and projects for regional development and do our utmost to come up with effective solutions."
Governor Myung Hyun-gwan said, "This meeting was a meaningful occasion that connected national policy tasks with local issues and laid the foundation for securing national funding. We will make every effort to secure growth engines for Haenam’s future through close cooperation with Representative Park, our local lawmaker."
