LG Electronics Establishes Service Hubs and Offers Free Inspections
Services Available Upon Reporting Damage to Customer Centers
Companies such as Samsung and LG have dispatched flood recovery service personnel to support the areas of Yesan-gun and Asan-si in Chungcheongnam-do, which were affected by heavy rainfall.
Samsung Electronics Service announced on July 20 that, starting from the 18th, its 'Special Flood Recovery Service Team' has set up mobile service centers at the Hapo 1-ri Village Hall in Sapgyo-eup, Yesan-gun, and the Agricultural Products Processing Center in Yeomchi-eup, Asan-si, providing cleaning and free inspection services for flooded home appliances.
At the flood recovery sites, a bus equipped with mobile phone inspection equipment has also been dispatched to assist with cleaning, drying, and malfunction inspection of water-damaged phones.
In certain areas where flood damage has been concentrated, such as Yonggang-dong in Buk-gu and Mareuk-dong in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, service engineers are visiting affected households directly to inspect appliances and support flood recovery efforts.

Additionally, engineers will visit customers who report flood damage to their home appliances due to heavy rainfall through the Samsung Electronics Service contact center, providing the same special flood recovery services.
Samsung Electronics Service has been dispatching 'special service teams' not only in cases of heavy rainfall but also during various disasters such as wildfires and typhoons, to help affected residents quickly return to their daily lives.
In fact, in March of this year, a special service team was sent to areas in Gyeongsangbuk-do affected by wildfires to provide special inspection services for home appliances and mobile phones.
LG Electronics also announced on July 20 that, starting from the 19th, it has established service hubs in flood-affected areas such as Asan-si and Yesan-gun in Chungcheongnam-do, offering free inspection and repair services for home appliances. Service managers dispatched to the sites are inspecting flooded products regardless of brand or manufacturer.
In addition, a 'visiting service' is being conducted, where service managers visit affected households directly. Vehicles equipped for flood service response are also being deployed to assist with cleaning, repairs, and parts replacement for damaged products.
Furthermore, customers who have experienced flood damage to their home appliances due to the recent heavy rainfall can receive the same services by contacting the LG Electronics customer center or visiting a service center.
LG Electronics plans to expand the service areas if the damage spreads further in the future.
