Uiseong County Selected as Outstanding Institution for Public Healthcare Cooperation ... Rural Integrated Care Model Gains National Attention Uiseong County in Gyeongbuk has been selected as an outstanding institution for public healthcare cooperation.

On the 18th, Uiseong County announced that it had been selected as an outstanding institution for public healthcare cooperation and received a plaque of appreciation at the "2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do Regional Public Hospital Performance Sharing Conference and Symposium," which was jointly hosted by Gyeongbuk Province and the Gyeongsangbuk-do Public Health and Medical Support Group.

This award was given in recognition of Uiseong County's achievement in establishing an organic cooperative system with Andong Medical Center, the regional public hospital, and effectively operating an integrated care system that supports discharged patients' return to the community, provides customized health management services, and addresses care blind spots.

In particular, at the symposium, the Director of Uiseong County Health Center gave a presentation on rural integrated care cases within the county under the theme "Sustainable Changes in Healthcare and Care Opening the Future of Gyeongbuk," drawing the attention of participants.

The presentation emphasized that, in rural areas experiencing rapid aging, a regionally customized care model linked with public healthcare institutions can serve as a practical solution.

Previously, on the 16th, the Okcheon County Council from Chungcheongbuk-do made a direct visit to benchmark Uiseong County's case. Okcheon County, which has a similar rural environment, evaluated that a care system centered on public healthcare could become an important reference point for future local government welfare policy development.

Kim Jusu, the county governor, stated, "Uiseong County is realizing an integrated care model that residents can experience in their daily lives through close cooperation with public healthcare institutions," and added, "We will continue to expand this model so that it can develop into a leading example that rural areas across the country can utilize together."
