The organizing committee for the Geumcheon Fashion Film Festival, which will be held from September 12 to 14, 2025, in the G Valley area, has been launched. On July 17, the Geumcheon District Office (headed by Yoo Seonghun) and the Geumcheon Cultural Foundation announced that they held the "5th Geumcheon Fashion Film Festival Organizing Committee Launch Ceremony" at the G Valley Corporate Citizenship Center.
Since 2021, the Geumcheon Fashion Film Festival has been an event that highlights the history and cultural value of the Geumcheon area, which has evolved from the garment manufacturing industry to the fashion industry, through film.

Yoo Seonghun, Mayor of Geumcheon District, and Hong Sungyeol, Chairman of Mario Shopping, have been appointed as co-chairs of the festival's organizing committee. Director Jung Yuncheol, known for films such as "Sea Tiger," "Marathon," and "The Proxy Soldiers," has been appointed as executive director.
Approximately 16 individuals, including local figures, film directors, professors, businesspeople, and administrators, have been appointed as organizing committee members. They exchanged ideas on the development of the fashion film festival.
Yoo Seonghun, who serves as organizing committee chair, stated, "We are working hard to ensure that the region's industry and culture can be newly highlighted through the medium of film."
Meanwhile, the 5th Geumcheon Fashion Film Festival is accepting submissions for competitive entries of films under 40 minutes that feature fashion or the fashion industry as their subject or theme until July 23, 2025.
