Soongsil Cyber University (President Han Heon-Soo) announced on July 19 that it will be accepting applications for the second round of new student admissions for the second semester of the 2025 academic year from Saturday, July 19 to Thursday, August 14.
Previously, Soongsil Cyber University conducted the first round of new and transfer student recruitment for the second semester of the 2025 academic year from June 1 to July 10, under the slogan "With Soongsil Cyber University's hands-on curriculum~ Soongsil Power!" For applicants who were unable to apply during the first round, the university will hold a second additional recruitment. However, while transfer admissions for the third year in other tracks are available, third-year transfer admissions for the general track and bachelor's degree transfer admissions are excluded.
This second round of recruitment, like the first, covers four divisions and a total of 26 departments. The Humanities and Arts Division includes the Broadcasting and Creative Writing Department, Practical English Department, Music Department, Chinese Language and Culture Department, and Korean Language Education Department. The Human Services Division includes the Christian Counseling and Welfare Department, Social Welfare Department, Counseling Psychology Department, Child Psychological Therapy Department, Elderly Welfare Department, Youth Coaching and Counseling Department, Christian Leadership Department, and Lifelong Education Counseling Department. The Convergence Asset Management Division includes the Financial Investment Department, Real Estate Department, Beauty and Art Department, Sports Rehabilitation and Welfare Department, Entertainment Department, and Distribution Service Department. The ICT and Urban Infrastructure Engineering Division includes the Construction Smart Safety Engineering Department, Construction Systems Engineering Department, Industrial Safety Engineering Department, Fire and Disaster Prevention Department, Electrical Engineering Department, Computer Engineering Department, and Environmental Safety Engineering Department.
Anyone who has graduated from high school or is recognized by law as having an equivalent academic background is eligible to apply, regardless of their College Scholastic Ability Test or school grades. Applicants such as employees, self-employed individuals, homemakers, and those who have graduated (or are expected to graduate) from junior colleges must submit supporting documents according to the recruitment guidelines.
Admitted students are eligible for generous scholarship benefits. Successful applicants for the general admission track and second-year transfer admission will receive a 20% tuition reduction per credit for one year. For successful applicants in the industry-commissioned, military-commissioned, equal educational opportunity, rural special, and special education tracks (including new, second-year, and third-year transfer students), a 50% tuition reduction per credit is provided. For North Korean defector track applicants, up to 100% tuition reduction per credit is available. For successful applicants in the international and overseas Korean tracks, a 25% tuition reduction per credit is provided. If a successful applicant falls within the ninth income decile, they may also receive overlapping benefits from the national scholarship program.
In particular, the industry-commissioned scholarship provides a 50% tuition reduction each semester for employees of partner companies who enroll at Soongsil Cyber University. This allows working professionals to pursue self-development and a second career while balancing work and study, and the university actively supports their academic pursuits.
