The detention review hearing to determine the legality of former President Yoon Seokyeol's re-arrest concluded after approximately 4 hours and 50 minutes.
The Criminal Appeals Division 9-2 of the Seoul Central District Court (Presiding Judges Ryu Changseong, Jeong Hyewon, and Choi Bowon) began the detention review hearing for former President Yoon at 10:15 a.m. on July 18, 2025, and concluded at around 4:14 p.m.
After the hearing, members of the special prosecution team for the insurrection case (led by Special Prosecutor Cho Eunseok), including Special Prosecutor Park Eoksu, left the court without answering reporters' questions about which points they had focused on during the hearing or what detention center records regarding Yoon's health had been submitted.
