Women Account for 60%... 7 Out of 10 Successful Candidates Are in Their Twenties
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced the list of successful candidates for the '2025 Local Government Officials Recruitment Written Examination' on July 18.
This examination was held simultaneously at various testing centers across the province on June 21. Out of a total of 1,298 applicants, 225 candidates passed the written test, which includes those within 110% of the planned recruitment quota as well as those with tied scores.
The number of successful candidates by job category is as follows: 167 in educational administration, 11 in library science, 7 in information technology, 1 in records research, 27 in driving, 9 in cooking, and 3 in cooking (specialized high school). Among all successful candidates, 135 were women (60.0%), accounting for a higher proportion than the 90 men (40.0%). In particular, in the educational administration category, 114 out of the total successful candidates were women, representing 68.3% and highlighting a more pronounced gender gap.
By age group, those in their twenties made up the largest proportion at 69.5%. The oldest successful candidate was 55 years old in the general cooking category, while the youngest was 17 years old in the cooking (specialized high school) category.
The Provincial Office of Education plans to conduct interviews for the successful candidates of the written examination on July 31, and will announce the final list of successful candidates on August 14.
