Sungshin Women's University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the United States Forces Korea to foster translation and interpretation professionals.

On July 11, Sungshin Women's University announced that it had signed the MOU with the United States Forces Korea at Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province.
Under this agreement, the two parties will cooperate in several areas: mutual participation in translation and interpretation programs and competitions; operation of security education programs, including those related to the combined defense system, as well as tours of Camp Humphreys; mutual exchange of human resources to enhance translation and interpretation expertise; and the establishment of networks to promote mutual development and friendship.
Lee Sunggeun, President of Sungshin Women's University, stated, "This agreement will provide students with opportunities to directly participate in the fields of politics, diplomacy, national defense, and security, thereby enhancing their interpretation and translation capabilities."
