Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province will participate in the 'Hometown Love Donation Festival,' which will be held for four days until July 21 at Hall 7 of the 2nd Exhibition Center at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and will operate a promotional booth for the Hometown Love Donation program.

According to the province on July 18, the booth is designed both to widely promote the institutional purpose of the Hometown Love Donation system and to allow visitors to directly check and experience the quality of Jeonbuk's specialty products through an exhibition of representative return gifts and tasting programs.

In particular, the promotion of the 'Jeonbuk Love Resident Card,' which recently surpassed 30,000 subscribers, will also be conducted. Information on various benefits available at 152 affiliated discount stores in the province and on-site issuance guidance will be provided simultaneously.

The Jeonbuk Love Resident Card is open for application to anyone whose registered address is outside Jeonbuk Province. Cardholders can receive various updates about Jeonbuk and enjoy a range of lifestyle benefits, which has attracted significant interest.

To encourage participation in the Hometown Love Donation program during the summer vacation season, the province is also preparing a 'Summer Hometown Love Donation Event.' This event, held in conjunction with major summer festivals in the province, will offer Jeonbuk's seasonal specialty foods such as Kim Bugak from Namwon and Bokbunja-ju from Gochang, as well as a variety of prizes to enhance participant satisfaction.

Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation program, which has been implemented since 2023, allows donations to any local government nationwide except one’s place of resident registration. Starting this year, the annual donation limit per individual has been raised from 5 million won to 20 million won.

Notably, donations of 100,000 won or less are fully eligible for tax credits, and donors receive return gift points equivalent to 30% of their donation, which can be used to select and receive local specialty products with free shipping.

Donations are used in various areas to improve residents’ welfare, including support for socially vulnerable groups and youth protection and development. Jeonbuk Province is also working to spread a culture of sharing through 'point re-donation,' supporting fire safety kits and hygiene products for young women, among other initiatives.

Baek Kyungtae, Director of External and International Communication, said, "We expect this expo to be a great opportunity to widely promote Jeonbuk's excellent return gifts nationwide," adding, "We hope more people will participate in the Hometown Love Donation program and join us in contributing to regional development."
