On July 17, KB Asset Management held a coffee truck event at the IFC lawn in Yeouido, Seoul, and in front of the headquarters of the Korea Teachers’ Credit Union to mark the first anniversary of the 'RISE ETF' brand renewal.
The event was organized to express gratitude for the interest and support investors have shown in 'RISE ETF' over the past year since the rebranding.
Company employees and event staff provided more than 3,000 cups of coffee and lemonade from early in the morning, creating an opportunity for communication with ETF investors and financial industry professionals.
On July 17, 2024, KB Asset Management rebranded its ETF line as 'RISE' and embarked on a new phase of growth. RISE stands for "Rise Tomorrow," reflecting the company's commitment to supporting healthier retirement investing for individual investors.
In response to the rapidly changing market environment and evolving investor needs, KB Asset Management maintained the stability and trust associated with the 'KB' brand, while intuitively conveying a future-oriented message of 'rise.'
Since the launch of the new brand, KB Asset Management has consistently delivered strong results, further strengthening its position in the ETF market.
RISE ETF has been recognized for its clear strategic direction, differentiated product lineup, and bold fee reduction policy, all of which have contributed to its standout performance. The total ETF assets under management (AUM), which stood at approximately 12 trillion won in July 2024, have now surpassed 17 trillion won?an increase of about 42.5%.
The company’s strategy to expand touchpoints through various channels?including digital content, social media marketing, and offline seminars?has also proven effective. The number of mobile searches on the portal site Naver increased by 286% compared to July 2024. Through events such as the 'Night for Retirement Investors' seminar and the 'RISE Invitation' series, the company continues to engage with a diverse range of investors, including the MZ generation.
On the product side, KB Asset Management continues to strengthen its competitiveness by introducing differentiated themes and strategies. To meet diverse investor needs, the company has successively launched thematic ETFs focused on areas such as US AI, humanoids, natural gas, and banks; fixed-weight covered call ETFs; and the Tesla and Palantir Fixed Tech 100 series. The lineup specializing in covered call strategies has earned the nickname "Covered Call Matjip" and is drawing attention from income-focused investors.
To clearly communicate the investment philosophy behind the brand, KB Asset Management has published the 'RISE ETF Investment Guidebook.' Centered around the four letters of 'RISE,' the guidebook presents four core investment strategies: 'Retirement Essential,' 'Innovation Leaders,' 'Strategic Income,' and 'Energy Transition.' Any investor interested in ETFs can download the 'RISE ETF Investment Guidebook' for free from the RISE ETF website.
Roh Areum, Head of the ETF Division at KB Asset Management, said, "The first year of RISE ETF was more than just a brand change?it was a journey to become an ETF brand that provides real value to investors. We will continue to be a reliable partner for long-term investors, especially those investing for retirement, based on trust and innovation."
