VC Association Holds LP-GP Exchange Meeting... "Largest Ever"

"Over 180 Representatives from Domestic LPs and VC Association Member Firms Participate"

The Korea Venture Capital Association (VC Association) announced on the 18th that it held the '2025 VC LP (Limited Partner)·GP (General Partner) Exchange Meeting' at El Tower in Yangjae, Seoul, the previous day.

This exchange meeting was the largest ever, with a total of 184 participants, including representatives from 36 major domestic LPs, 86 venture fund GPs affiliated with the VC Association, as well as officials from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and related organizations.

The event consisted of autonomous networking between LPs and GPs, a lecture by Lee Hyoseop, Senior Research Fellow at the Capital Market Research Institute, on "Diagnosis and Improvement Directions for Asset Allocation Systems of Domestic Pension Funds," and an awards ceremony for contributions to the vitalization of venture investment.

In particular, the awards ceremony for contributors in the LP category of the "Venture Investment Vitalization Merit Award," conducted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to encourage domestic LPs' investments in venture funds, was presented by Lim Jungwook, Director General for Startup and Venture Innovation at the Ministry, adding significance to the event. The LP category awardees included Kim Seungkyu, Team Leader at Seoul Business Agency; Park Gilseop, Deputy General Manager at Industrial Bank of Korea; Park Yunkyung, Team Leader at Korea Youth Startup Foundation; Shin Seokjong, General Manager at NH Nonghyup Capital; and Cho Youngmin, Division Head at IBK Capital.

Since 2013, the VC Association has been hosting this exchange meeting to strengthen cooperation between venture investment companies, limited liability companies (LLCs), new technology businesses, and other venture fund managers and LPs, providing opportunities for members of the venture investment ecosystem to connect.
