Trick Art Photo Zone Also Installed
Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul has been newly renovated to serve as more than just a baseball stadium. On July 18, Seoul Facilities Corporation announced that it has created the 'Four-Color Charming Garden,' a space where citizens can freely stay and relax, by utilizing the previously unused outdoor areas of Gocheok Sky Dome.
The 'Four-Color Charming Garden' consists of four themed areas: the 'Flower Garden,' where visitors can enjoy a variety of flowers including climbing roses; the 'Cork Rest Area,' which features eco-friendly cork flooring and benches; the 'Rose Arch,' established along an accessible ramp for people with disabilities; and the 'Mist Garden,' where mist and various aquatic plants create a harmonious atmosphere.

The 'Flower Garden,' located on the upper level of the pedestrian plaza, showcases around 20 types of flowers, displaying diverse colors throughout the seasons. In the lower unused space, the 'Cork Rest Area' has been set up with eco-friendly cork flooring and curved benches, covering an area of 240 square meters.
On the ramp leading to the outfield entrance in the direction of Guille Station, a 'Rose Arch' has been created using wooden arch structures and climbing roses. Near the outfield entrance, along the sidewalk and around the pond, a 'Mist Garden' has been established, blending mist with aquatic plants.
In the pedestrian plaza of Gocheok Sky Dome, a trick art photo zone featuring 3D optical illusion effects has also been installed. It is expected to provide new attractions for families, baseball fans, and other visitors to the stadium.
Park Hangyeong, President of Seoul Facilities Corporation, stated, "We hope that Gocheok Sky Dome will establish itself as a complex cultural and relaxation space that goes beyond being a simple sports facility, adding to Seoul's charm and revitalizing citizens' lives. We will continue to actively utilize unused spaces to provide valuable areas for citizens."
Meanwhile, Seoul Facilities Corporation is also working to reduce the use of disposable products by introducing reusable containers at concession stands inside Gocheok Sky Dome. In August, a free movie screening event for local residents and culturally marginalized groups is also scheduled to be held.
