On July 18, heavy rain is forecast to fall in Gwangju and Jeonnam at a rate of several tens of millimeters per hour. The Korea Meteorological Administration has urged caution against river flooding, inundation, and isolation in underpasses, warning that up to 200mm of rainfall is possible.

According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, due to a low-pressure system moving eastward over the West Sea, rainfall of 100 to 200mm is expected in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions on this day. The morning low temperature is forecast to be between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high is expected to range from 27 to 31 degrees Celsius.

On this day, waves in the offshore areas of the West Sea and South Sea are expected to reach around 1.5 meters in height, and the concentration of ultrafine dust is projected to remain at a 'good' level.

An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "There is a risk of becoming isolated on riverside walkways and in underpasses," and advised, "Please refrain from entering these areas, and be alert for flooding in low-lying areas, river overflows, and rapid currents."
