Construction Cost of 481.9 Billion Won
From 1 Underground Floor to 29 Above-Ground Floors
Dongbu Construction announced on July 17 that it has been selected as the preferred negotiation partner for the "Uiwang, Gunpo, Ansan Private Participation Public Housing Construction Project" commissioned by Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).
This project involves supplying 1,610 apartment units on a site area of 100,291 square meters, with a total floor area of 245,754 square meters, within the Uiwang, Gunpo, and Ansan districts. The complex will consist of one underground floor and 29 above-ground floors. The total construction cost is 481.9 billion won. The construction period is set for 36 months from the start date, with Dongbu Construction leading the project as the main contractor, holding a 51% stake.
The Uiwang, Gunpo, Ansan S1 district is considered a key area in the government's "Third New Town Development Plan." This area is expected to provide a variety of public housing unit sizes, as well as transportation, education, and job infrastructure. It is planned to become a future growth hub for the region.
Dongbu Construction plans to finalize the design after further discussions with LH and then begin construction. Previously, Dongbu Construction has participated in other private participation public housing projects, including Geomam S-3BL, B-1BL blocks, and Pyeongtaek Godeok A-12BL, A-27BL, and A-65BL blocks in Gyeonggi Province.
A Dongbu Construction representative stated, "The Uiwang, Gunpo, and Ansan districts are core areas where residential demand is concentrated in the southwestern part of Gyeonggi Province," adding, "We will provide residents with a higher level of living environment by prioritizing quality and safety in construction."
