30 Job Categories Including Cooks and Administrative Assistants
Applications Accepted by Email Starting July 21
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 17th that it will publicly recruit candidates for its substitute workforce pool for educational administrative staff. This measure is intended to address staff shortages caused by vacations and leaves of absence. The recruitment covers 30 job categories, including nutritionists, cooks, kitchen assistants, and administrative assistants.
Eligible applicants are citizens under the age of 60 residing in Gwangju. For cooks, kitchen assistants, and cleaners, the age limit is extended to 65. Applicants must meet the qualification requirements for each job category, and those who qualify may apply for multiple positions.
Once registered in the substitute workforce pool, candidates will be given hiring priority for one year whenever vacancies arise at schools or related institutions. Applications will be accepted via email from July 21 to August 1.
Detailed information can be found on the announcements section of the Office of Education's website. Superintendent Lee Jungseon urged citizens to participate, stating, "Through a fair process, we can expand employment opportunities and enable schools and institutions to secure staff quickly."
