It has been reported that former President Yoon Seokyeol sent a letter from prison to Moss Tan (Korean name: Dan Hyunmyeong), a professor at Liberty University in the United States, after their meeting was canceled at Seoul Detention Center.

On the 16th, Moss Tan and Korean history lecturer Jeon Hangil appeared at a rally in front of Seoul Detention Center and shared news of the letter from former President Yoon. Professor Moss Tan stated, "Former President Yoon is a hero of this country," and added, "I wrote the letter because I wanted him to see for himself just how many people are still passionately supporting him."

Subsequently, Korean history lecturer Jeon Hangil read aloud a handwritten letter written by Professor Moss Tan in front of Seoul Detention Center. After reading the letter from Professor Moss Tan, former President Yoon wrote a handwritten reply. However, due to detention center regulations prohibiting the removal of letters on the same day, his legal team transcribed the contents of Yoon's letter on the spot.

In his reply, former President Yoon criticized, "I regret that we could not meet due to the sudden decision by the special prosecutor to prohibit visits," and continued, "Even though I had already scheduled a meeting with the correctional authorities yesterday, the abrupt decision to ban my meeting with Ambassador Moss Tan was malicious and foolish."

He further asserted, "Professor Moss Tan and the U.S. government are struggling to confront the forces that distort justice in the world, as well as the systems they have established. This awareness and philosophy are also reflected in my presidential campaign announcement and inaugural address."

He added, "Having recently been re-detained, each day is difficult for me," and continued, "I send encouragement and regards to my comrades who are fighting to make the world a more just place."
