Shinhan Bank Launches First Dedicated Virtual Asset Page Among Commercial Banks

Real-Time Price Updates and Beginner's Guide Provided

Shinhan Bank announced on July 17 that it has become the first commercial bank to launch a dedicated virtual asset page on Shinhan SOL Bank.

The virtual asset page can be accessed via the lifestyle convenience tab within Shinhan SOL Bank. Users can view real-time virtual asset prices, an introductory guide for beginner investors, professional reports, and news.

Shinhan Bank also plans to add virtual asset trading features, including the ability to check virtual asset holdings and apply for higher transaction limits, based on its real-name account linkage service with the virtual asset exchange Korbit.

A Shinhan Bank representative stated, "We hope customers will be able to easily access high-quality information on digital assets through a familiar financial app and enhance their overall understanding of asset management," adding, "We will continue to focus on our customers who choose Shinhan and dedicate ourselves to providing more specialized financial solutions."

Meanwhile, Shinhan Bank has been operating a digital asset task force since the beginning of this year and is pursuing initiatives such as stablecoin-based overseas remittance tests, cross-border payment projects, and the trademark application for the 'KRWSH' stablecoin.
