On July 16, Kakao VX, a sports platform company, announced that it will offer a 5% discount coupon and duty-free benefits to customers who book Japanese golf courses through Kakao Golf Reservation, which can be used at Alpen, a Japanese sports goods brand store.

Since 2023, Kakao VX has been collaborating with Rakuten Gora, a golf course reservation site operated by Japan's Rakuten Group, to provide real-time tee time reservation services for over 420 golf courses in Japan through the Kakao Golf Reservation platform. In particular, the company has received positive feedback by providing key information on golf courses, including course details, in Korean to make the service more convenient for users.

A Kakao VX representative stated, "At the end of last year, the growth rate of Japanese golf travel exceeded 600%, indicating a very high level of customer response." The representative added, "We will continue to collaborate with local Japanese companies to minimize customer inconvenience." Kakao Golf Reservation plans to contribute to the balanced growth of the golf industry ecosystem by offering a variety of services for golfers and enhancing customer satisfaction.
