On July 16, Kim Taeheum, Governor of Chungnam Province, stated, "We will actively foster women entrepreneurs so that the capabilities of women can be fully reflected in the robust Chungnam economy."
Governor Kim attended the "4th Women Entrepreneurs Week Chungnam Women Entrepreneurs Conference" held in Asan on the same day. He said, "We will expand support for business funds and focus on resolving workforce shortages through the Women Workforce Development Center," adding, "We will also mobilize all provincial resources to support entry into global markets and the development of new sales channels."
This event, hosted and organized by the Chungnam branch of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association under the theme "Women Entrepreneurs, the Key to Opening Tomorrow's Hope," was attended by over 200 participants, including Governor Kim, heads of major institutions and organizations in the province, and women entrepreneurs.
At the event, outstanding products from 38 women-led companies in the province were showcased at the women entrepreneurs' promotional exhibition, drawing the attention of participants.
The provincial government expects that this event will provide practical support for women entrepreneurs in various aspects of business management, including strengthening capabilities, building networks, expanding promotion and sales channels, and enhancing cooperation with related organizations.
Meanwhile, Women Entrepreneurs Week is a statutory week held during the first week of July every year in accordance with Article 12-3 of the Act on Support for Women-Owned Businesses, and it was established to highlight the social roles and contributions of women entrepreneurs.
