On July 16, at the opening ceremony of the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing, Huang said, "The heroes who have driven China's rapid innovation are researchers, developers, and entrepreneurs. More than 1.5 million Chinese developers have made today's Nvidia possible by turning innovation into reality." He continued, "Models such as DeepSeek, Alibaba, Tencent, MiniMax, and Baidu's Ernie Bot are world-class and have become the driving force behind global AI development. China's open-source AI has served as a catalyst for global progress, giving every country and industry the opportunity to join the AI revolution."

Huang emphasized that currently, hundreds of projects in China are being operated within Nvidia's Omniverse platform (a platform for training robots in virtual worlds) for factory design and optimization, and robots are also being trained. He stressed, "The next wave of AI will be robot systems that understand and reason about the physical world and perform tasks. Within ten years, factories will be powered by software and AI, and teams of robots will be organized to work alongside humans to create AI smart products."

On this day, Huang began his remarks by calling China's supply chain "a miracle." While most of his speech was delivered in English, he used Chinese to greet Vice Premier He Lifeng, the country's 'economic heavyweight,' and other distinguished guests at the beginning of his address. At the end of his speech, he also said in Chinese, "Nvidia will continue to operate in China," adding, "We will join hands with friends to usher in prosperity and the future in the AI era."

Huang, a Taiwanese-American, visited China for the third time this year amid ongoing U.S.-China tensions. He has publicly voiced opposition to the U.S. government's technology control policies that prevent his company from selling advanced products to China.

During this visit, which was arranged for the China Supply Chain Expo, Huang met with Lei Jun, CEO of Chinese big tech company Xiaomi, and Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The day before the expo opened, he also personally announced that the sale of the AI chip H20?which had been restricted by the U.S. government?was now permitted in China.
