All-out Efforts to Protect Workers' Health
and Prevent Workplace Safety Accidents
On July 16, Gyeongnam Nonghyup conducted a '2025 Heatwave Safety Training for Rural Workforce Brokerage Center Operations' at the main conference room of the Gyeongnam headquarters to prevent damage to agricultural workers caused by summer heatwaves.
This training was provided for Nonghyup staff and center managers of rural workforce brokerage centers in the Gyeongnam region. The program included heatwave safety training and guidance on precautions, with practical content aimed at preventing health damage to on-site workers due to heatwaves and avoiding workplace safety accidents.
In addition, Nonghyup has established and is operating a heatwave safety management plan and action guidelines from July to September to protect workers.
The main content includes advance notification in case of heatwave forecasts, worker protection measures, minimizing work during high-temperature hours, providing sufficient hydration, and recommending rest breaks.
Ryu Gilnyeon, head of the headquarters, stated, "As heatwave damage caused by abnormal climate continues to increase, protecting the health and lives of rural workers is more important than anything else," and added, "We will continue to monitor field-oriented safety measures."
