On July 15, Yang Chisung stated on social media that "Body Space gym will cease operations on the 25th." He added, "If your phone number has changed or you did not receive a text message, please call so we can process your refund." He also emphasized, "Please make sure to receive your refund by the 24th, and be sure to collect your personal belongings. It will be difficult to store them after the gym is dismantled."

The video released by Yang Chisung that day shows him personally posting the closure notice on top of the gym's water purifier.

Yang Chisung is well known as the trainer for several famous celebrities, including Jin of BTS, actors Kim Woobin, Sunghoon, Han Hyojoo, and Choi Kanghee.

However, he previously revealed that he had suffered financial difficulties due to a rental deposit fraud. On the KBS Joy program "Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller," which aired in December last year, he said, "I moved into a building introduced by a close friend, but it turned out that I would have to vacate it after four years." He added, "The landlord was found not guilty because there was no initial intent to commit fraud and he claimed he had no money."

In 2019, Yang Chisung rented a building in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and opened his gym. However, after operating for just over three years, he received an eviction order from Gangnam-gu Office. It was later revealed that the land was owned by Gangnam-gu Office. The building owner held a 20-year management and operation right but leased the property to Yang Chisung when only three years and ten months remained on the lease period.

Yang Chisung also said, "The landlord did not pay the money he was supposed to pay to the district office with the rent I paid," and "Even though I paid the rent, I now have to pay a fine to the district office." The total amount of damages, including the deposit, is reported to be about 500 million won.

Many people have expressed their regret over the news of the closure. Choi Kanghee commented on the closure announcement, saying, "Ah, Director," expressing her disappointment.
