The RISE Project Group at Dongmyung University (headed by Lee Hwahaeng) and Busan Union Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Hoonki) signed a business agreement on July 15 to successfully implement the Regional Innovation-led University Support System (RISE) project and to foster the local startup ecosystem.
Through this agreement, the two organizations have agreed to cooperate in various areas, including collaboration on the RISE project, support for revitalizing university technology-based startups, operation of startup competitions and educational programs, establishment of a full-cycle consulting system for startups, and strengthening the capabilities of university professionals such as TLOs.
Lee Hwahaeng, head of the Dongmyung University RISE Project Group, stated, "By collaborating with Busan Union Technology Holdings, we will contribute to revitalizing local startups and focus on strengthening university technology-based startups."
Park Hoonki, CEO of Busan Union Technology Holdings, said, "Cooperation with local universities is essential for Busan to grow into a global startup city," and added, "As an institution with expertise in nurturing startup companies and supporting investments, we will work together with Dongmyung University to foster the local startup ecosystem."
This agreement represents a collaborative model between a local university and a union technology holding company, aiming to bring about a new transformation in regional innovation and startup revitalization.
