Han Donghoon: "People Power Party Must End Election Fraud Conspiracy Theories... No Future If We Delay"

Former People Power Party leader Han Donghoon argued that the party has no future if it fails to put an end to election fraud conspiracy theories.

On July 16, Han Donghoon stated on his Facebook page, "When I was ousted from my position as People Power Party leader on December 16 last year, my final message was that the party must firmly cut off election fraud conspiracy theories."

Han added, "Back then and even now, it is very difficult to speak out directly against election fraud conspiracy theories within the People Power Party," explaining, "This is because there are irresponsible politicians who try to protect their own vested interests by drawing in far-right forces with a handful of election fraud conspiracy theories."

He further pointed out, "Recently, the party leadership has even gone so far as to attend events promoting election fraud conspiracy theories en masse," and added, "Unfortunately, our People Power Party has failed to put an end to these conspiracy theories."

Han concluded, "If we delay any longer, there is no future for the People Power Party. We must decisively sever ties with election fraud conspiracy theories," and continued, "If there are People Power Party politicians who believe in or defend these conspiracy theories, do not hide behind far-right forces. Come forward under your own name and debate me."

Han Donghoon has not officially announced his intention to run in the People Power Party convention expected to be held in August. In addition to Representative Ahn Cheolsoo, who has already declared his candidacy, some expect a three-way race involving former Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moonsoo and former leader Han Donghoon.
