The Busan Regional Public Procurement Service announced on July 16, 2025, that five products from companies based in Busan and Ulsan were selected in the second round of the 2025 Innovative Product Designation Review.
The newly designated innovative products are as follows: ▲ The 'reciprocating integrated sludge and scum collector' from Kukje Gisan Co., Ltd.; ▲ The 'Smart Construction Management System Thegong' from Bora Construction Co., Ltd.; ▲ The 'aluminum uncoated non-slip deck' from RUK Co., Ltd.; ▲ The 'police duty vest with stab-resistant performance' from Treksta Co., Ltd.; and ▲ The 'hybrid water-based and oil-based coating material' from Yuin.
The Innovative Product Designation System is a program that evaluates the technological capabilities of prototypes before commercialization, allowing public sector organizations to purchase them preferentially. This system provides companies with opportunities for technology commercialization and market entry, while enabling public institutions to deliver high-quality services using new technologies.
Designated products can be purchased through private contracts for up to six years, and are eligible for benefits such as purchase target programs and purchase indemnity. In addition, if the products proceed through unit price contracts and pilot purchases and are subsequently linked to overseas demonstration, this can lead to export opportunities.
Shin Bongjae, head of the Busan Regional Public Procurement Service, emphasized, "Active purchasing participation by local public institutions is necessary for innovative companies to grow," and added, "We will continue to discover promising companies and support their entry into and growth in the public procurement market."
