Stable and Early Settlement for Relocated Employees
First Implementation This Year to Encourage Family Relocation
Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province will begin accepting applications for the "Support Program for Small Business Startups by Families of Relocated Korea AeroSpace Administration Employees" starting July 17.
This program is being implemented for the first time this year to help relocated Korea AeroSpace Administration employees settle in Jinju quickly and stably, and to encourage their families to move with them.
Eligible applicants are families who had continuously lived in another city, county, or district for at least two years, then relocated to Jinju after the opening month of the Korea AeroSpace Administration (May 2024), and have resided in Jinju for at least six months. Among these, those who have newly started a small business in Jinju and have operated it for more than three months are eligible.
Applicants may choose to apply for support funds for either indirect startup costs (such as rent and material costs) or for wages for hiring local residents. The total number of businesses that can be supported is three. The maximum support amount is 10 million won, and the maximum monthly support is 1 million won. Applications can be submitted within one year from the date of selection as a recipient.
However, businesses with overdue national or local taxes, and those in industries excluded from small business policy fund support, are not eligible. Applicants must carefully review the announcement before applying.
The application period is from July 17 to October 31. Applications must be submitted in person at the Jinju City Job and Economy Division. Selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis within the budget, so the application period may close early if the quota is filled.
A city official stated, "We hope this support program will help relocated Korea AeroSpace Administration employees and their families settle in quickly and stably."
Meanwhile, Jinju City is also promoting the "Support Program for Settlement Conditions for Relocated Korea AeroSpace Administration Employees and Families" and the "Support Program for Hiring and Retention Incentives for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Employing Families of Relocated Korea AeroSpace Administration Employees" to help relocated employees and their families settle in the area.
