Changnyeong County executed 276.4 billion KRW in the first half of the year, exceeding its prompt execution target of 232.9 billion KRW by 43.5 billion KRW. This resulted in an execution rate of 118.7% compared to the target, earning the county the top ranking in the province’s fiscal execution evaluation.

In particular, in the area of consumption and investment, which has a significant ripple effect on the local economy, the county executed 95.7 billion KRW in the first quarter, exceeding the target of 70.6 billion KRW by 25.1 billion KRW, and 95.8 billion KRW in the second quarter, surpassing the target of 79.5 billion KRW by 16.3 billion KRW. By achieving its quarterly targets, the county is expected to invigorate the stagnant local economy and have a positive impact on the recovery of residents’ livelihoods.

This achievement is attributed to the establishment of a Prompt Execution Task Force led by the Deputy Governor of Changnyeong County, which has conducted daily monitoring of major projects, including large-scale initiatives, and built a close interdepartmental cooperation system since the beginning of the year.

County Governor Sung Nakin stated, "Being selected as the top institution is the result of all staff working together to strategically execute the budget and revitalize the local economy. Going forward, we will continue to operate our finances swiftly and responsibly, focusing on projects that provide tangible benefits to our residents."

Meanwhile, Changnyeong County was also selected as an excellent institution in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s fiscal execution evaluation for the first quarter, securing a fiscal incentive of 40 million KRW.
