Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Receives ISO 37001 Certification
Aims to Foster a Culture of Integrity in Schools

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on July 16, 2025, that it has obtained ISO 37001 certification, the international standard for anti-bribery management systems.


ISO 37001 is an international standard awarded to organizations that have established an anti-bribery management system capable of identifying, preventing, and controlling corruption risks within the organization. Since the beginning of this year, the provincial office has prepared for certification by identifying corruption risk factors, conducting risk assessments, providing internal training, and carrying out self-audits across all departments.

The office formed a dedicated certification consultative body and established anti-bribery work guidelines and implementation plans, taking a systematic approach. The Korea Foundation for Quality, the certification body, comprehensively evaluated the office’s commitment to anti-bribery policies, the suitability of its implementation system, and the awareness level of all employees before granting final certification approval. The certificate was delivered to the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education on this day.


Taking this certification as an opportunity, the provincial office plans to strengthen the operation of its existing Integrity Policy Group and Integrity Improvement Task Force, and to promote the establishment of a culture of integrity centered on school sites.


Kim Jae-gi, Director of Audit, stated, "ISO 37001 certification is more than just a system; it is the result of a culture of integrity created by all employees together," adding, "We will continue to pursue practical, action-oriented anti-bribery and integrity policies to repay the trust of the residents."
