Jeonju City to Distribute Consumption Coupons... Allocates 2.9315 Trillion Won in Emergency Supplementary Budget

First Round: July 21 - September 12
Second Round: September 22 - October 31

Jeonju City in North Jeolla Province announced on July 16 that it has allocated an emergency supplementary budget for the distribution of "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons."

The city explained that, since 10% of the cost for the government-issued "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons" must be covered by local funds, it urgently prepared a one-point supplementary budget after coordinating the council schedule with the Jeonju City Council for the review of the second supplementary budget proposal, and has requested the council's deliberation.

This year's second supplementary budget proposal is dedicated solely to supporting the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons, and has been set at 2.9315 trillion won, an increase of 127.6 billion won (4.55%) compared to the first supplementary budget (2.8039 trillion won).

According to government policy, the application and distribution periods for the consumption coupons will be divided into two rounds: the first round will run from July 21 to September 12, and the second round from September 22 to October 31. Applications will be accepted through 34 local community centers, the Jeonju Sarang Gift Certificate app, card company apps, and other channels.

All citizens residing in Jeonju as of June 18 are eligible for support, with the amount ranging from 180,000 won to a maximum of 530,000 won.

The consumption coupons will be distributed in two rounds, and will expire if not used by November 30. For further details, inquiries can be made to the Jeonju City Livelihood Economy Task Force Team.

Choi Hyunchang, Director of Planning and Coordination at Jeonju City, stated, "We will focus our administrative efforts to ensure that the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons, as a priming pump for the recovery of the local economy, are distributed quickly and without any setbacks."
