Hana Bank Supports Credit Recovery for Young Long-term Delinquents... Strengthens Inclusive Finance

Hana Bank announced on July 16 that it will strengthen inclusive finance by providing donation-based support to young people struggling with credit recovery.

In partnership with the Korea Student Aid Foundation, Hana Bank will implement the "Blue Lighthouse Credit Recovery Support Project" using donation funds for a two-month period starting July 16.

This "Blue Lighthouse Credit Recovery Support Project" aims to support the credit recovery and economic rehabilitation of student loan borrowers facing long-term delinquency, utilizing donations from Hana Bank.

The program targets young people experiencing difficulties in daily life due to long-term delinquency on student loans. The initiative will provide support for entering into special debt adjustment agreements, funded by Hana Bank's donations.

Hana Bank and the Korea Student Aid Foundation will comprehensively consider each applicant's debt repayment ability, potential for rehabilitation, and payment of self-contribution, and will provide differentiated donation support of up to 400,000 KRW. In addition, benefits will include long-term installment repayment plans of up to 20 years, removal of negative credit information, and reduction of delayed compensation fees.

A Hana Bank representative stated, "Through the donation support provided by the 'Blue Lighthouse Credit Recovery Support Project,' we hope that young people with long-term student loan delinquencies can quickly return to normal economic activity. Hana Bank will continue to practice prompt and substantial inclusive finance not only for young people in difficult circumstances but also for other financially vulnerable groups."
