The special prosecutor team led by Cho Eunseok, which is investigating suspicions related to the 12·3 Martial Law, has prohibited former President Yoon Seokyeol from receiving visits at the detention center, except from his family and legal counsel.

On the 16th, the special prosecutor's team announced that, starting from the afternoon of the 15th and until the indictment, they had instructed Seoul Detention Center to prohibit visits to former President Yoon by anyone other than his family and attorneys.

Special Prosecutor Park Jiyoung stated, "This measure was taken in accordance with the standard criteria for restricting access applied to ordinary suspects."

It appears that this restriction is intended to put pressure on former President Yoon, who has continuously refused to comply with the special prosecutor team's requests for attendance. Since his arrest on the 10th, former President Yoon has repeatedly declined to appear before the special prosecutor's team. The team issued a third transfer order for former President Yoon to Seoul Detention Center by 2 p.m. the previous day.

Additionally, starting at 7 a.m. on the same day, the special prosecutor's team has been conducting searches and seizures at eight locations, including the residence of former National Intelligence Service Director Cho Taeyong, in connection with evidence destruction following the rebellion.

Previously, the Chae Sangbyeong special prosecutor team had also conducted a search and seizure of former Director Cho. The rebellion special prosecutor team is now searching for items other than those already seized by the Chae Sangbyeong team. For materials already secured by the Chae Sangbyeong team that are needed by the rebellion special prosecutor team, those are being obtained separately and incorporated into the ongoing search and seizure.
