Hong Sawook, Former Head of Fixed Income at Mirae Asset Global Investments, Joins KCGI Asset Management
Appointment Aims to Strengthen Fixed Income Division and Expand Product Lineup
On July 16, KCGI Asset Management announced that it has elevated its existing fixed income team to the Fixed Income Division and appointed Hong Sawook, former Head of Fixed Income at Mirae Asset Global Investments, as the new Head of Division (Managing Director).
A representative from KCGI Asset Management explained, "We have carried out this organizational restructuring and talent acquisition in order to strengthen the independence of our fixed income operations, systematize our management functions, and secure long-term growth drivers by expanding our product lineup."
The newly appointed Head Hong is a veteran fund manager who demonstrated both stability and profitability while managing flagship bond funds such as the 'Mirae Asset Solomon Long-Term Government Bond Fund' at Mirae Asset Global Investments.
He is recognized as an expert with multifaceted capabilities, including asset allocation strategies, global management strategies, and risk management. He is considered a fitting addition to KCGI, which is currently working to strengthen its product development and management capabilities in the fixed income sector.
KCGI Asset Management, which has delivered results with its active equity funds, is building a product lineup befitting a comprehensive asset management company and is actively responding to the rapidly growing retirement pension market and the demand from pension funds.
Head Hong stated, "While focusing on the stable performance of KCGI Asset Management's existing flagship fixed income funds, I will also do my utmost to establish systems that can further enhance our fixed income management capabilities."
