"Maeil Soymilk Lentil" was designed for modern consumers who consume high amounts of sugar. The product contains no added sugar and uses lentils, the key grain recommended in the MIND diet proposed by Dr. Heewon Jung in her book "The Slow Aging Diet," as its main ingredient, allowing anyone to enjoy it in a healthy way. Each 190mL pack contains 9g of plant-based protein, 3g of dietary fiber, and only 1.5g of sugar, making it a low-sugar product.
Dr. Jung has previously emphasized the nutritional value of lentils in "The Slow Aging Diet." She is also known for regularly drinking low-sugar soymilk with no added sugar to increase her plant-based protein intake, which led to her collaboration with Maeil Dairy in the joint development of this lentil soymilk. Maeil Dairy and Dr. Jung worked closely together throughout the development process, including nutritional design, ingredient blending ratios, and taste, to create the new Maeil Soymilk Lentil.
Lentils are characterized by their convex lens shape and are recommended by many nutritionists. They are rich in plant-based protein and dietary fiber and are low in sugar. Comparing 100g of lentils (dried) and brown rice, lentils contain 23.58g of protein versus 7.33g in brown rice, and 12.2g of dietary fiber versus 3.9g, demonstrating the superior nutritional profile of lentils.
A Maeil Dairy Maeil Soymilk representative stated, "By combining the nutritional benefits of lentils, which are rich in protein and dietary fiber, with Maeil Soymilk's unique manufacturing expertise, we have created a product that achieves a perfect balance of nutrition and taste. We will continue to expand our lineup of healthy, low-sugar soymilk products that consumers can trust and enjoy."
