Daegu Donggu to Hold Its First Summer Festival
Set for July 26 at Dongchon Riverside

'Retro Summer! B-grade vibes, A-grade fun!' The Daegu Donggu summer festival is coming to local residents.

The Daegu Donggu District Office (headed by Mayor Yoon Seokjun) will hold the 2025 summer festival "Dudusumdong" on July 26 at the public parking lot area of Dongchon Riverside, Haemaji Bridge in Donggu.

"Dudusumdong" is an abbreviation for "Dugeundugeun Summer Donggu" and is the first festival in Donggu with a summer theme.

The festival will feature a wide variety of attractions, including a Waterbomb concert, water gun games, a craft beer pub, and experience booths, making it an event that everyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy together.

There will be three zones in operation: the Music ZONE, Water ZONE, and Romantic ZONE. In the Music ZONE, events such as the "Heatwave Breaker Challenge" including a beer drinking contest, the youth dance competition "SUMMER MOVE IT," and the festival highlight, the Waterbomb concert, will heat up the stage. The Water ZONE will host a refreshing water gun survival game. In the Romantic ZONE, a craft beer pub, food trucks, flea market, and various experience booths will be available, providing both relaxation and fun for families visiting the festival.

In addition, the main stage of the festival will host the finals of the youth dance competition "SUMMER MOVE IT" at 4 p.m. Ten teams selected from across the country will take the stage to showcase their youthful passion and talent in a heated competition.

The highlight of the festival, the Waterbomb concert, will begin at 7 p.m. The energetic duo Norazo, the powerful diva Hyolyn, and the unique EDM artist Park Myungsoo will set the stage on fire, while powerful water cannon performances will cool off the summer night.

Yoon Seokjun, Mayor of Daegu Donggu District, said, "As the first-ever 'Dudusumdong,' this is a unique festival where you can feel both the charm of Donggu and the heat of summer. I hope it will serve as an opportunity to widely promote Donggu as a vibrant, youthful cultural and tourism city."
