Dunamu, the operator of the virtual asset exchange Upbit, announced on July 16 that it has launched 'UPSide Link,' a recruitment-linked platform that matches young talent and companies poised to lead the future of Web3 cybersecurity.
The talent pool for 'UPSide Link' consists of graduates from 'UPSide Academy,' Korea's first Web3 cybersecurity talent development program, jointly operated by Dunamu and Tiori. These elite professionals have completed not only theoretical education but also hands-on projects in each field, and possess specialized expertise in cybersecurity and Web3·blockchain security.
Through 'UPSide Link,' companies can review the strengths, skills, and portfolios of Web3 cybersecurity professionals who have completed UPSide Academy, and recruit outstanding talent. By securing vetted experts through a fast and efficient hiring process, companies are expected to significantly strengthen their ability to respond to security crises?such as hacking and data breaches?that are directly tied to customer trust.
While 'UPSide Academy' serves as a cradle for young security talent, 'UPSide Link' acts as a bridge connecting these young professionals with companies. Through 'UPSide Link,' Dunamu aims to move beyond the traditional one-way approach of academies that end with selection, training, and graduation. Instead, the company seeks to establish a practical and strategic talent development system that encompasses discovery, education and growth, and ongoing support.
'UPSide Link' is expected to address the difficulties companies face in securing specialized personnel amid increasingly sophisticated security threats, while also helping to alleviate youth unemployment. Dunamu plans to drive the growth of Korea's Web3 cybersecurity industry and take the lead in activating the ecosystem, building on the foundation of UPSide Academy and UPSide Link.
On July 15, at the 146th CISO Forum held at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, Dunamu Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Jung Jaeyong gave a presentation on 'Web3 Security and Talent Development' and announced the launch of 'UPSide Link.' Approximately 90 professionals from the information protection and security sectors, including CISOs from major Korean companies, attended the event and showed great interest in 'UPSide Link,' which is expected to become a key platform for discovering security talent in Korea.
Jung Jaeyong, Dunamu CISO, said, "UPSide Link offers new opportunities for growth and advancement to both young people and companies," adding, "Just as Dunamu's corporate vision is to foster future generations through technology and finance, we will actively strive to help Korea emerge as a global powerhouse in cybersecurity."
