Enhanced Product Value and Introduction of Economy Trim
Hyundai Motor launched the updated 2026 ST1 model on July 16, enhancing the product value of its electrified business platform ST1 and adding an economy trim.
The ST1, which Hyundai Motor released last year, is equipped with a 76.1 kWh battery, providing a single-charge driving range of 317 km for the Cargo version and 298 km for the Cargo Refrigerated version. A key feature is its compatibility with a 350 kW ultra-fast charging system, enabling the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
For the 2026 ST1 Smart trim, Hyundai Motor has added a first-row sun visor mirror, a passenger assist handle, and a passenger seat car mat as standard features. In addition, the company has improved convenience by newly including a heated and ventilated passenger seat in the existing Convenience options package.
To further reduce the financial burden on customers, Hyundai Motor has introduced a new economy trim called "Style" for the 2026 ST1 Cargo model. Despite being priced 1.06 million KRW lower than the existing ST1 Smart trim, the Cargo Style trim is equipped with highly preferred convenience features such as a 12.3-inch cluster, a 10.25-inch navigation system, an electronic parking brake (with auto hold), front and rear parking distance warning, and interior V2L (bi-directional charging).
The ST1 is equipped with an infotainment system based on the Android operating system (OS), allowing for the use of various applications. Hyundai Motor has newly applied the logistics app "Sendy" to the 2026 ST1, providing customers with optimized business convenience. The Sendy Driver program uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to minimize the empty driving ratio (the proportion of driving with an empty vehicle) and offers optimal transport routes, helping customers improve both operational convenience and profitability.
The prices for the 2026 ST1 are as follows: Cargo - Style 58.74 million KRW, Smart 60.40 million KRW, Premium 64.18 million KRW; Cargo Refrigerated - Smart 68.75 million KRW, Premium 72.53 million KRW; Chassis Cab Smart 56.55 million KRW; High Top Smart 58.00 million KRW.
Taking into account the highest-level government and local subsidies for electric cargo vehicles, which range from 15.10 million to 24.57 million KRW for the Cargo Style trim, an additional 3.6 million KRW subsidy for small business owners, and a 5.34 million KRW VAT refund for commercial vehicles, the actual purchase price can be significantly reduced to the 25 to 35 million KRW range.
A Hyundai Motor representative stated, "As an electrified business platform, the ST1 is highly regarded by customers for its specialized new technologies, new features, and excellent total cost of ownership," adding, "We expect the 2026 ST1, which has been upgraded by carefully reflecting customer feedback, to further enhance work efficiency."
