Gyeonggi-do is launching an initiative to support local small and medium-sized export companies in entering overseas distribution networks.
On July 16, Gyeonggi-do announced that it will invest a total of 1 billion KRW to support 100 export companies in the province that wish to enter four countries?China, the United States, Vietnam, and India?helping them access both online and offline distribution channels.
In the online sector, support will be provided by establishing a dedicated Gyeonggi-do section on a global B2B marketing platform, where products can be showcased, buyer consultations can be held, and purchase connections can be facilitated.
For the offline sector, support includes participation in prominent exhibitions and the operation of B2B and B2C consultation events. Each company can receive up to 8 million KRW (with a support rate of 90%).
Gyeonggi-do will be accepting applications through the 'Gyeonggi Business Secretary' website until July 25.
The province expects that this project will provide practical assistance in strengthening the competitiveness of export companies struggling due to the strengthening of protectionism in the United States and changes in the global distribution environment, as well as in pioneering new markets.
Park Kyungseo, Director of International Trade at Gyeonggi-do, stated, "This support program has been prepared to help local small and medium-sized enterprises establish a stable presence in the global market," adding, "We will continue to provide a variety of support measures to expand exports in response to the changing trade environment."
