RF Tech Subsidiary Scientifically Proves Whitening and Anti-Inflammatory Effects of Proprietary PN Ingredient... Published in International Journal

RF Bio, a subsidiary of RF Tech, has scientifically proven the superior skin whitening efficacy of its independently developed polydioxyribonucleotide (PN) ingredient through joint research with Professor Byun Kyunghee's team at Gachon University.

The company announced on July 15 that the results of this research have been published in the internationally renowned journal in the fields of molecular biology and dermatology, the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (IJMS), thereby recognizing both the reliability and academic value of the study.

The research team confirmed that the PN component is effective in inhibiting the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), reducing inflammatory signals, and suppressing the expression of genes related to melanin biosynthesis, thereby addressing skin damage and pigmentation caused by ultraviolet rays in summer. In particular, PN was scientifically verified as a multifunctional active substance that not only stimulates natural recovery within skin cells based on a molecular structure similar to conventional PDRN, but also exhibits whitening and anti-inflammatory effects. Furthermore, according to the research results, when PN is used in combination with glutathione or hyaluronic acid, it demonstrates even stronger antioxidant and moisturizing synergistic effects. This further increases the potential for PN to be used as a high-performance ingredient in medical devices and cosmetic products.

RF Bio began full-scale research and development of PN ingredients and their application in medical devices in 2023, and this joint research was carried out as part of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's "World Class Plus Project Support Program." PN-based technology is expected to become a key growth driver in the global market based on its proprietary technology, as it has high potential for expansion not only in the skin aesthetics market but also in various functional medical device sectors.

An RF Bio representative stated, "Through these scientific research results, our PN technology has been proven to be at a global level. We plan to accelerate our entry into the global market by strengthening our own skin booster products based on PN ingredients, expanding our portfolio of medical devices and cosmetic products, and realizing our corporate philosophy of maximizing corporate value through biotechnology."
