Kyungpook National University Launches Creative Collaboration Project for Career-Interrupted and Senior Women Using Generative AI

The Kyungpook National University SW Education Center (Director: Ko Seokju), in collaboration with the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Association of Women in Science and Technology (President: Kim Mikyung), is operating the "Rediscovering Creativity and Intergenerational Collaboration Project for Career-Interrupted Women with AI" for 40 women (20 each from Daegu and Gyeongbuk) who are either career-interrupted or seniors in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions.

This project is designed to establish a sustainable creative collaboration model where career-interrupted and senior women can rediscover their creativity and expertise by using digital technologies, especially through content creation activities utilizing generative artificial intelligence (AI), and achieve creative outcomes by collaborating with various generations.

The detailed program consists of a "Generative AI-Based Content Creation" course. Participants receive training on how to use generative AI, such as image generation and editing, and then produce their own creative works, which are showcased at local public exhibitions.

In Daegu, workshops were held under the guidance of Professor Lim Suyeon at the Sculpture Building of the Kyungpook National University College of Fine Arts on July 2 and 4.

The creative works were exhibited for one week starting July 8 at "Gaon," a cultural space in the National Debt Repayment Movement Memorial Library.

In the Gyeongbuk region, workshops will be held on July 21 and 23 at the Andong Gyeongbuk Women’s Policy Development Institute training center, and the creative works will be exhibited for one week starting July 28 at the Gyeongbuk Women and Family Plaza Donghaeng Hall.

Those interested in participating in the Gyeongbuk region project can contact the secretariat of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Association of Women in Science and Technology.

Ko Seokju, Director of the Kyungpook National University SW Education Center, said, "Based on our experience contributing to the local community, the SW Education Center plans to further strengthen cultural and arts education using generative AI. In particular, we will actively promote AI and software education in the Beopgochangsin style, reflecting the history and culture of Daegu and Gyeongbuk."
