Supporting the Happy Centenarian Lives
of Elders in Sister Village Haseo
The Planning and Audit Department of Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters (headed by So Youseop) held a longevity celebration event on July 15 in Haseo Village, Onyang-eup, with which it has a sisterhood relationship, to support the elders' health, longevity, and happiness in their centenarian lives.
This event was organized in collaboration with the Public Relations Department to encourage the healthy lives of the elderly residents and to promote regional coexistence.

During the event, longevity portraits (for 38 elders) taken in advance by a photojournalist from Newsis as a talent donation were presented, along with summer health meal kit sets for centenarian elders. In addition, convenience items were provided to improve the environment of the village community center.
While the national average proportion of elderly people aged 80 or older is about 4.8%, Haseo Village in Onyang-eup, near Saewool Nuclear Power Plant, has a longevity senior ratio of 16% (28 people).
Oh Sewoong, head of Haseo Village, said, "I am proud that Haseo Village, located near the nuclear power plant, is gaining recognition as a longevity village," and added, "I am grateful to Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters for their consistent care and support for the elders."
Yoon Sungho, Director of External Cooperation, stated, "Saewool Headquarters will continue to work together so that all local residents can live healthy and happy lives for a long time," and added, "We will continue to promote various support projects and maintain active communication with the local community for mutual prosperity."
