Hosted by the Gyeongnam Taekwondo Association and organized by both the Gyeongnam Taekwondo Association and the Sacheon City Taekwondo Association, the tournament was divided into two events: Taekwondo Poomsae and Sparring.

In particular, athletes from a wide range of age groups?including elementary, middle and high school, university, and general divisions?participated and showcased their skills, resulting in fierce competition.

Sacheon City plans to use this tournament as an opportunity to attract more national-level sports events, thereby contributing to the revitalization of the local economy and the improvement of citizens' sports culture.

Kim Haksoo, president of the Gyeongnam Taekwondo Association, stated, "Taekwondo is a proud global sport that embodies the spirit and philosophy of our people," adding, "I hope this tournament will serve as an opportunity for athletes to overcome their limits and achieve greater growth and confidence."

Mayor Park Dongsik said, "It is very meaningful for Sacheon City to host the 21st Gyeongsangnam-do Governor's Cup Taekwondo Tournament, and I hope this event was a valuable time to share the values and spirit of Taekwondo." He added, "Sacheon City will continue to maintain strong interest and efforts to further expand and promote Taekwondo."
