2025 Hope Wheels Scholarship Event Held in Seoul
Support Continues for 13 Years... 115 Recipients Selected This Year
Total Scholarships Reach 1.4 Billion Won, Benefiting 1,640 Recipients
HD Hyundai Oilbank has continued its scholarship program for the children of truck drivers for 13 consecutive years.
The company announced on the 15th that it held the "2025 Hope Wheels Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony" at the Cargo Welfare Foundation building in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the previous day, the 14th, and awarded a total of 100 million won in scholarships. The event was attended by Choi Kwangsik, Chairman of the Cargo Welfare Foundation, and Hwang Injin, Executive Director of HD Hyundai Oilbank, among others.
The scholarships will be awarded to 115 students who were selected through a recruitment process that took place over two months starting in March this year. Since 2012, HD Hyundai Oilbank has continued its annual scholarship program, with a cumulative total of 1,640 recipients and total support amounting to 1.4 billion won to date.
Hwang Injin, Executive Director, stated, "We have continued the scholarship program this year so that young people can focus on their studies," and added, "We will continue to expand various social contribution activities that enable companies and society to grow together."
Meanwhile, in addition to the "Hope Wheels" program, HD Hyundai Oilbank also operates educational support programs for youth, such as a Seoul National University mentoring program and on-site college entrance briefings for high school students in Seosan, Chungnam.
