Lotte Card Launches Travel Wallet Collaboration Card with No Overseas Fees

Credit Card Functionality Combined with Travel Wallet's Prepaid Travel Pay

Lotte Card announced on July 15 that it has launched the "Travel Wallet Hybrid Lotte Card" in partnership with Travel Wallet, offering benefits such as exemption from overseas usage fees and credit card functionality.

Lotte Card Launches Travel Wallet Collaboration Card with No Overseas Fees

The card features a combination of Travel Wallet's prepaid "Travel Pay" service and credit card functions.

Travel Pay allows users to top up 45 different foreign currencies at real-time exchange rates whenever they wish and make overseas payments without incurring the overseas service fee (0.2%) or the international brand fee (1.1%).

When making payments abroad, the preloaded foreign currency is deducted first. If the foreign currency balance is insufficient, the entire amount is automatically converted to a credit transaction. For credit transactions, both the overseas service fee and the international brand fee are waived.

When using the card for credit payments at domestic and overseas merchants, 1% of the transaction amount is accumulated as "Travel Points," which can be used in the Travel Wallet app. Travel Points can be redeemed at a rate of 1 point per 1 won when exchanging foreign currencies within the Travel Wallet app.

There are no currency exchange fees for major currencies such as the US dollar, euro, and Japanese yen. For other currencies, the exchange fee ranges from 0.5% to 2.5%.

The card can be issued through the Lotte Card DigiRoca app or the official website. The annual fee is 20,000 won.

Until August 10, an event is being held where customers who spend 100,000 won or more with the Travel Wallet Hybrid Lotte Card will receive 100,000 won in their Travel Wallet KRW wallet. The application period runs until July 31. Eligible participants are members who have not used a Lotte personal credit card for payments in the six months prior to the event start date, which was July 12.
