On the 15th, HiteJinro announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for "the creation of a responsible drinking culture with mobile ID cards."
This agreement aims to widely promote the fact that mobile ID cards are a highly reliable digital identity verification method that allows adults to easily and accurately prove their age without concerns about forgery or alteration. It was initiated to help establish a culture of responsible drinking.
HiteJinro plans to attach promotional labels for mobile ID cards to 1.5 million bottles of its flagship brand Chamisul, and will begin distributing them sequentially to restaurants and dining establishments nationwide starting at the end of July. In addition, by utilizing its nationwide distribution and sales network, the company will actively cooperate to ensure that in-store promotion and guidance regarding mobile ID cards?which have the same legal validity as physical IDs?take place naturally, for example by putting up promotional posters in small business stores.
Kim Ingyu, CEO of HiteJinro, stated, "This MOU not only addresses the social challenge of establishing a culture of responsible drinking, but also responds to the demands of the times for digital transformation and the recovery of the people's economy. We will continue to do our best to provide practical support for improving the business environment of small business owners, in line with our commitment to mutual growth with local economies and the trust we have built with the public."
